Marvellous Photoshop - Quite clever how you managed to get that street light to grow out of the back of Good as Gold !
Seriously though - some evocative photos there Neil - can't spot the PS'd one .
We had a brilliant 10 days at the Natter that Matters ranging from temperatures for the first two days at 32 degrees plummetting to torrential rain and 11 degrees !
Luckily the weather held off for the main event on sunday but the Internatioanl raly ion saturdya was a bit damp. After we had been on the brandy tour (free as it was heritage weekend and still had tasters thrown in) we headed into the Charente hills to intercept the rallyers where we were joined by some local French spectators - Neil has the pics in his photobucket. We then tagged on to the end of a line of classic cars to finish the run with them into the centre of Angouleme - even in the rain the locals in the villages were all standing on their doorsteps waving and ordinary cars were parked up in fields watching the procession.
Fantastic atmosphere in the town itself which was chock a block full of classic cars and race cars either participating or just in town for the spectacle - the Les Halles car park was the place to park up if you wanted to be noticed ! We hid in an underground car park ...which was also full of classic cars !
ON top of that we had the natter that matters itself in the Octagonal dining room of the Restaurant Le Feu du Bois and...yes I was Bien Qui as Adrian says !
Fantastic weekend despite the weather and we managed to get some touring in as well, Monet's Garden, Azay Le Rideau Chateau, Battlefields of the Somme, Fontainebleau, relaxing on the banks of the Seine and the Loire !
Plus we doubled the numbers of last years natter in Monaco so despite the bad weather in the middle it was an excellent trip and thanks to everyone that joined us .
And the wheel bearing held up as well but got interestingly rumbly !
See you next year in Italy !
