You've got a point there Mike - sorry about Mrs H but I kept wanting to call Jan Lynn instead and knew I was wrong so Mrs H was best I could think of on the spur of the moment !
It is getting late in the day to book for this as it is a popular weekend but don't let that put anyone off - Part of the thrill is in the planning for this one ! Which reminds me I must book a ferry sometime.

I'm going to try and make this, Unfortunately I can't commit yet but it's highly likely I will be trying to organise something a few weeks before Stu Edit... S@D it work will have to work around me for a change. I've just reserved the IBIS 15th-19th 4 nights Any more thoughts on the ferry route..

Personally, I don't think you can beat Portsmouth - Caen, but then I'm biased I'm sure you'll get as many different answers as F-ers you ask ;D ;D ;D

Stu, as Mike says it's personal choice. Weigh up: shorter ferry/ more driving time longer ferry/ less fuel ferry cost higher/ less fuel cost more scenery/ less scenery As always, the choice is yours, whatever way you go, it'll be nice to see you there .

Some good news on an otherwise quite unpleasant day. Lyn & I are curently looking at the possibility of going a day or two earlier and visiting Rocamadour first (it's just 126 miles south of Angouleme).

Some good news on an otherwise quite unpleasant day. Mr P - I do hope that this is weather, heat or work related and not 'F'/Natter related

For those interested, whilst trying to sort out a few bits and pieces for The Natter, I came across this site which, whilst it is a BBS similar to this, contains some interesting pics (and a map) of the Angouleme circuit and racing. forums.atlasf1.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79463Just look at a couple of those hairpins ;D ;D ;D

Called in at Rocamadour on the way to monaco for the last Natter - was very interesting and quite spectacular.
Have finally booked the ferries - out on 1040 speedferries Tuesday 12th and coming back 1325 speedferries 21st. Only cost £64 return which is around £400 cheaper than my original plan (Portsmouth to Cherbourg then Santander to Plymouth return)
Burglars take note I will be leaving two ferocious daughters at home during that time !
