Sorry for the delay;...... well of course I am going to this one. I popped in today and they are very happy for an undefined number of Fs (and TFs!). Food starts at 12 when they open. There is masses of room inside and out, beer brewed on the premises and a 'marquee', plus unlimited parking space in a field if needed. Some fools in white appear over the road cricketing, and the source of the river Itchen is nearby. Later you might care to view the Alresford station car park with thoughts of September's run and of course general chuff chuffing. There is a nice river walk for feeding ducks and trout. There is a short but very 'F'able run back through Ovington, Avington and Easton - more details later. Sorry I can't fathom the list technology Andie, but I will be there!

I found them 2 miles down the road and flattened them before retrieving the wheels and carrying on Mind you, I did get to Taunton and noticed I had no fuel, so had to drive back to Minehead on fumes as nowhere was open at that time of night.

Andie, in answer to a much earlier question, Caroline will not be joining us on sunday as I cruelly send her out to work; to keep me in style. There is masses of room there at the Pots so late decisions on the weather WILL be rewarded, and of course the Alresford station is relevant to the October, not September, run. Now where did I put those whites........? 8o( PS Heard my first cuckoos on sunday near Amesbury in Wiltshire.

If Charles is playing over the road that afternnon, those staying long enough could form themselves into a 'barmy army' - a new trend for village cricket? Probably not.

I'm up for staying a bit later to hear the sound of leather on willow.
Of course it depends if my lovely passenger wishes to partake in some cricket spectating.
