That's a tragedy Andie.
Now, if you & David were to get together with Paula & Bruce, there is a Campanile just 4.6 miles away from the IBIS
ANGOULEME NORD - Saint Yrieix 114 ROUTE DE ROYAN 16710 - SAINT-YRIEIX-SUR-CHARENTE
But I know when I'm beaten.

... although the Mercure on the same site as the IBIS are still taking bookings for Saturday & Sunday evenings (they are block booked Monday thru Friday before) and you 4 would fit nicely in there socially. We peasants could then join you for a drink on your patio overlooking your swimming pool.
... but I know when I'm beat ...

John, At my age and condition Dawn doesn't mind who goes with me.
Her holidays this year are our runs to Sweden, Kempenrit, Wales and Holland and Auvergne.

Add Tony Williams to the list, he will be coming and Andy (and Scarlet) are very interested. Anybody else fancy a nice weekend away, it's after Kempenrit so you should have the taste of European motoring by September, this is a wonderful weekend in a medieval city watching very old cars racing around. Dirt cheap hotel, cheap ferry, not too much driving, wonderful company (of course) what more could you ask for. So, who's next to book up ? You know you want to

Not fair!!!!! I'm getting more jealous now! I would love to do this one - wanted to as soon as John told me about it. How late do you guys think I could leave it before making a decision? My reason is that whether I did this or not depends on (a) whether my insurance calims re my accidents have been settled by then and (b) whether I have someone available to care for my son .... guess I could always leave David behind!!!!

Lastminute.AndieB
Ferry will be no problem by that time in September but the hotel may be full. Book the IBIS today and you can cancel upto 4pm on day of arrival.
David will love it Andie - there are loads of pretty French trees to see and the town Raparts and race circuit are spectacular.

Help!!! Links again please for hotels!!!
Where are Tony and Andy staying? I'm guessing they are having a problem finding a hotel like I am due to late-ish decision!
