I know what you mean! I suppose a lot of new (2003+) MG's could still be company cars? I guess day by day they will fall into enthusiasts hands!! A lot of earlier MG owners don't seem to rate / wave at newer MG's. But at the end of the day, they are all MG's, and all bring pleasure to owners / drivers! Cheap sporting cars - does exactly what it says on the MG tin! Good on you Roy, and welcome! Where abouts are you, and have you introduced yourself to your local region?? I was brought up with a '47 TC!!

Hi! I'm Roy 71 years young and have recently bought one of the last TFs - not a real one one of the Rover type. I started with a J2 MG some 50 years ago before things like motorways let alone speed cameras. Then had a sprog eyed fright and a BN1 Healey before ending up with an MGA. Then I got married! 40 years later and I am back in an MG(ish). Is my eyesight failing or MG owners nowadays a stand offish lot. We used to wave to one another now I wave to them and they glare back. See you sometime. Roy Hi Roy Your opening line sounds more like Alcoholics Anonymous than F-Register. Welome, I'm John (4 years from retirement) with a TF135 (my 4th MG over the years). There is, generally, less waving these days but I blame it on traffic density rather than standoffishness. Where in the country are you Roy - I'm sure we'd like to see you at some of the events.

Hi Roy, and welcome. I ,too, started my driving career in the age of waving. I still wave at MGs, but have given up on the Zs. It's not easy to pick them out in today's traffic and some owners are not aware of the waving tradition, sadly. If I see you in and around Devon, I'll wave vigorously!

Hi all I'm Andy and still a newbie to this forum. Can anyone advise how to get images of my dream car onto my details? thanks Hiya Andy and welcome to the Fregister! ;D First of all you need to host your image on the internet. To do that........ Make your photo no bigger than 100 x 100 pixels. Then upload it to a picture hosting site like 'photobucket.com'. Sign up (its free) and upload your photo. Details are on the site to take you step by step. Once youve done all that look at the photo and underneath will be three dialog boxes.Look for "url". 'Copy' that text for use in a moment. Sign in to the forum, and click on "Profile" just below the freg banner. Then look for "modify profile".Click on that. Look down the page till you see "Avatar". Select "none" at the side of it. Then in the blank field of "Avatar Url" paste your text into that. Then enter your photo size,eg mine is 100 x 50. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "modify". Sounds long winded, and Im sorry if you knew most of that already. But it does only take minutes thats all. If you want your picture to appear in your "signiture" like my Yorkshire Rose and Freg piccy..............then in photobucket, where you got your photo "URL" from, look for the field of and copy that text, and paste it into the field of 'Signiture' on the 'Modify profile page'. And its done. Dont worry you cant wreck the forum (thats for us to do lol ) so have a play about with your signiture/avatar,youll soon pic it up. And a big hello to all the other new names on here.Hope to see you all soon.
