Should be a nice run, James! So...now we've established that the South Coast Road Runners IS based in the South Coast area and covers counties such as Dorset and Hampshire....any more POV on what has so far been discussed?

Poole/Bournemouth is a very nice area; there must be some good pubs in that neck of the woods would benefit from the custom of a group of F/TF people.

There is also Christchurch, just ouside that area...Mudeford Quay...then further east we have the Beaulieu area and Bucklers Hard....as well as the New Forest which is a FABULOUS area for a run out in the summer....And we do have Studland Beach, a lovely non-commercial area of beach (NT owned) just a short ferry ride across Poole harbour...so much beauty!

Andie, summer sunday's can be a bit hard to fit in the agenda, but not impossible. They have the greatest possibility of course, however mid-week as per the ER's will create your hard-core base of locals, to whom your group must be focussed. Certainly two venues is a benefit and one which should be explored. Can you see if any of your local pubs already entertain car clubs, as Tim has found at the Fairmile in the SE group. If so, that is a very good bonus. Keep up the good work, I told you it would be challenging but fun, you seem to have the hang of it now

Regular set meets is a great move in the right direction. Personally I would like to see monthly weekday evening meets interspersed with Sunday meets, maybe every month or every second month in the busy summer period. The only way is to try it and see what the response is. Would not want to exclude people at a distance eg Jay and James, as their support for SCRR has, and I hope will continue to be, tremendous Personally weekday meets will probably be fine April to August as I do not have so many evening commitments, but September to March free evenings are in short supply!! Sundays very much an open book. However surely that is the whole point of a fixed series of dates - you attend those you can. As for venues, I will put on the thinking cap. I feel a series of missions coming on!! Not sure about Studland - controlling James at a nudist beach might stretch even Andie's legendary abilities. ;D

Please watch your PM inbox, 003.5......more top secret missions may be in the offing! So nice to see so much enthusiasm for our area! BTW....off topic....I have a logo for us!!!! Very simple....yet very classy and hopefully will become as well recognised as the Essex Roadsters logo.... Need to talk to the person who has come up with the design before I release it ... oooooerrrr, how exciting! Off to the metalsmiths now so will post later this evening re the logo and making some vinyls and baseball caps up!

Okay, bear in mind that I have only read this thread, and that the answer to my question may be answered in a different one (I apologise). Where was the meeting that you had before? I live in Newbury but was thinking that it would be useful for me to meet with some fellow MGF/TF owners and that South Coast seems to be the area...... can someone enlighten me?
Thanks guys

Well the meet was held at THE BEAR & RAGGED STAFF pub near Romsey last Sunday. They are in the process of organising more regular ones now

Shirley, its as James said really! We're a relatively new area and I'm still finding my feet a fair bit! I'll find them eventually! If you want to be added to my mailing list, either PM or email me your email address! My email is andiemgtf@yahoo.co.uk In the process of organising the next meet but have several major F Register events to work around. I hope to see you at our next meeting!
