Just looking at Channel crossings.... At present, Speedferries come in at £58, Eurotunnel £98 assuming going out Thursday, coming back Tuesday.

I'm struggling to get started on 2007 planning so far.
Have dates been published for Italian Job (Natter)? Are they finalised or still under discussion? I'm up for the trip one way or another.
Just noticed 18th - 24th September. I really must pay more attention.

But then my MGCC Switzerland 2007 Program says that Fabio is arranging an MGF/TF meet from 7th to 14th Sept. I will not be doing any convoy run or the Dolomites however I may go to Gstaad and join a run thru St Bernard before the MGCC CH Octogan Run on 22nd/23rd. Geoff F.

I think the dates have been sort of decided John, as the middle weekend of that 18-24th period. I'm just not sure the exact venue has been chosen. By definition, an NTM needs a suitably unique and distinctive landmark for people to aim at. You going in convoy or do you fancy the tactical freedom of a two-ship?

Hi Bob
Under discussion at the moment. I'm open to a solo or small group run down to the meet point. Only stipulation is I must get up the Stelvio.

John, David and I are hoping to be on this trip. Stelvio is THE reason for me going! I would be interested in joining a small group for a leisurely drive to the Natter - this will be my second trip abroad (unless anything else crops up in the meantime!). I will keep an eye on this section to keep abreast of developments...!

John and Andie and others. I'm thinking of an early crossing on the Thursday, giving three whole days to get to NatterHQ via the Stelvio. Not hurried but not dawdling either. Would rather go with no more than about four cars in a packet.

OK folks, sorry about the delay, those of you who have expressed an interest will be kept up to date but this is going to be an amazing opportunity if the weekend plan falls in to place.
I would like a list (don't we love lists) of those who are interested ( no firm commitment required) at ths stage.
What I can say is the date is as the calendar, we depart the UK anytime you like, I will put forward what I am doing, if anybody else wishes to do the same that is fine, all you need to do is give yourself enough time to get to the Torino area of N. Italy via the Alps for the scenic opportunity.
We will meet up at there (for the Natter) for an overnight stay or two with a very interesting hotel (this is being organised at this moment), the hotel and the Natter point will be confirmed shortly. We will spend a few days together touring with Fabio, this is the time we visit the Stelvio, possibly Ferrari or Lamborghini and a few other favourites of his.
You can leave for home at any time after the weekend of the 22nd/23rd, it depends on how far you want to travel and how much you want to spend, distances won't be massive, however the scenery will be worth it if you can stay.
I am not being evasive but Fabio has hopefully pulled a rabbit out of the hat with his plan, he just needs it to be confirmed by the (very hard to tie down) people in charge of where we plan to go. Believe me, if his plan works, you will be talking about this for months, if not Plan B will be implemented.
So, to recap: leave the UK, (I'm planning to go on Tuesday 18th Sept) travel in groups or solo, this is an integral part of the Natter that Matters. Get yourself to the Torino area for Friday afternoon, the weekend will include a walking tour of a city, we spend between four and six gentle days touring with Fabio around the best roads in N. Italy before making our way home. Bear in mind, once the weekend is over you can make your own way back on your own or in groups, this will fall in to place as the weeks progress, it usually does anyway. We will definitely travel to Bormio for the Stelvio after the weekend.
As soon as plans are firmed up they will be put here.
I will have a look at ferries and hotels next week when I return from Holland, but as Bob says Speed Ferries always give a good price, usually £58 return, the hotel chains of Ibis, Campanile and Formula 1 give a good, tidy room at a good price.
So, who's going/interested :
Adrian & Dawn Tim & Liz Simon & Ann Art & Christine Colin Andie & David Bob & Kate John & Lynne Steve & Pam Kasper & Marion Keith Jerry & Diane Kenneth & Jeanette

Bob, that is exactly what you can do if you want to.
Others want to tour the area, Fabio is arranging this for us. If you just want to do the Natter then please plan to be in the Torino area on Friday 21st September, further details will be announced when they are finalized.
The NtM at Angouleme last year, done just the same, drive there and back if you wish, others stayed longer.
