In the latest issue of Safety Fast, there is an article by Gert Jorgensen, the European manager for the MGCC.
As 2006 events are starting to unfold, especially the big ones, can we keep track of these for a number of reasons.
1. Those of us that want to attend can make plans. 2. Those of you that plan events in your own country will not have a clash of dates with major European events.
So far listed are :
May 15 - 22 MG by the Sea. Gabbice Mare. Italy June 3 - 4 Pjingstmeeting. Germany June 28 - July 2 European Event of the Year. Massif Central. France July ?? Silverstone. UK
Please update this thread if you have confirmed dates.

Adrian please team up with our Belgian friends. They'll have their MGF Kempenrit. Traditionally it is in August (3rd Sunday?). Every year the event is getting bigger and bigger with people meeting from all of North-West Europe. You'll See!

Adrian,
I will have to dig in to find the dates of the "Octagon" Be aware this year it was a one day event but in non-anniversery years it is a two days event (saturday - sunday) covering more miles. Perhaps one of the other Dutch people already knows. But it could well be during MG's at the Sea.

Adrian,
Can I suggest two things?
1: That any major events be included, not just official MG club ones. The sort of thing I am thinking of are similar to the 2003 Cote d'Azur and the 2004 Tyrol Tours, both of which lasted 4+ days and had 25 - 30 cars on each tour.
2: That links are added to the list so as to make it easier to find the information.

Tony, That is exactly the idea of this thread, to give people the options to go and the organisers a help with dates. All events, when known and confirmed should go here, not just MGCC official ones, local club events, within the MGCC are more than welcome.

Hakan, has just provided preliminary details of a great event in Sweden next year, details are : It is the annual MG meeting in Scandinavia, they are planning for 100 MG's. The first arrivals appear for the BBQ on Friday 16th, the rally is on Saturday 17th and the social meeting and concours is on the Sunday, from where cars disperse. Hakan and his friends from Sweden South Centre will meet us at the magnificent Oresundbridge to escort us in. Who's interested in this (or any others) I don't think I will be home much May/June next year May 15 - 22 MG by the Sea. Gabbice Mare. Italy May 26 - 28 South Tyrol. (see previous link) May 27 - 28 Octarun, Holland ( eight different start points ) June 3 - 4 Pjingstmeeting. Germany June 16 - 18 Scandinavian event, South Sweden June 28 - July 2 European Event of the Year. Auvergne, (Massif Central). France July 21st -- Belgian MG Club Day (Belgium, near Liège) July ?? Silverstone. UK August 20th Kempenrit, Belgium

Adrian.
<< June 16 - 18 Scandinavian event, South Sweden << June 28 - July 2 European Event of the Year. Auvergne, (Massif Central). France
These 2 certainly are of interest, but until there are more details available, it is hard to make definte plans, as we would want to extend our visit to either area by probably a week to make it all worth while.
We await further postings. :-))

Dawn and I will be doing exactly that, on the way up to Sweden we will probably spend some time with Daphne and Kasper, they may even join us on the journey.
For France I will probably meet up with the Joel, Phillipe, Jacques and Fabien who were with us at MGF10.
So, as soon as I have any more details they will be posted here, it would, of course, be nice to travel together.
