As for the wheather. Don't beat me, but be prepared for some rain showers on Sunday and ambient temperatures of _only_ up to 20°C on that day. Sun gets back on Monday, said some guy from the TV who means to know that ;D Gabor, I understand the contact to Austria unfortunately didn't work ? However I'll drop you a line with my mobile number. Just in case .... PM me if anyone else needs it. @ all, have a save ride to Speyer and enjoy the MG !!

I don't think anyone was disappointed from this meeting. But let them speak themself ... soon. IMO, great 850 people from 17 countries with nearly 400 cars in great aerea with great wheather (Yes, it didn't rain at daytime until Sunday, with a few showers in the morning). Lots of MGF/TF with it, and another remarkable count of MGF owners who had been there as visitors. MGF/TF performed well, beside of a broken Hydragasunit and a misfortune of someone who had a small impact with a German road barrier (Headlight/wing/bumper). Car remained drivable. _Fortunately_ the AAA was quicker with their decision to carry the MGF with broken HG unit back to the UK before me and some german friends were able to source a second hand unit from a breaker and a working pump with fluid for a repair on site. One day only, wherein we needed two days at whitsun to get all together. Anyway, many thanks to Steve for the english beer !! Adrians Goodasgold won a price at concours, btw. Some pictures and impressions are on www.mgcc.de (Click on all 5 links, day 0 to day 5 to seeing the pictures)

It was an excellent event. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D And the weather was great too Thanks need to go to many people who made the event - Adrian for the organisation. Rick, Tristian, Jerry & Diane for their leadership through the adventure. The MGCC Germany who put on such a great major event with 3 road runs though some lovely county, a track experience and all the usual MG events and a guided tours of the city etc and even a free museum visit (MGCC UK take note!) And not forgetting all the the people who were in the FRegister convoy. I have downloaded all the pics - 450 - oohhh - and I will put some online as soon as I can. As Colin said - next year 'could' be even better if that was possible - Switzerland 8/8/8 and the following year in Norway - mmnnnn need to start saving now !!

What a great event, the German organisation was superb. The weather for the first four days was 30-34 deg. with rain on and off for the last two. The food and drink was excellent, time off on the Saturday for exploring/shopping or a boat ride on the river. Three road runs between 100 and 145 miles each made sure we appreciated the local scenery, the Odenwald forest was just beautiful. We were all surprised to be allowed to drive at full speed around Hockenheimring for 12 laps. There were cars from 14 countries, as far afield as Portugal (an RV8) and Finland (a TF1500). As Dieter said, I was very surprised to be awarded the 3rd concours place in the modern cars class (F's, TF's, Z's and RV8's). A big surprise as the car was littered with Fest leaflets and regalia for sale. Unfortunately one British TF, from the SE Centre suffered an accident when the back came out in the wet and the front hit an Armco barrier, it remained driveable though. One of our cars suffered the perennial problemn of keys locked in the boot, one other (not with us) managed to lock his in the bonnet. One car suffered a rear hydragas unit failure, even with a massive effort from Dieter he decided to have it trailered home and one car suffered an hgf on it's return to the UK. All in all, a great trip with typical MG friendship prevailing. Put this date in your diary for next year 08/08/08 where the EEoty will be in Zug, Switzerland in the land of chocolate box scenery. If you wish to join those that have already signed up for this event please drop me an e-mail, registration commences on 1/12/07. We will depart the UK at lunchtime on the 6th, the event finishes on the 14th. 295 pictures from Speyer here : good-times.webshots.com/slideshow/559244290LKzFee;jsessionid=abc3aDZtmE8Cu6b7WYDlr
