The AGM suffers from a poor attendance primarily because for many it is a long drive which cannot be justified. How many would be interested in attending if it was followed by a Supper and Social Evening ?? Geoff F.

Not a bad idea Geoff, don't forget the AGM is a meeting for the members to attend, it is not just a glorified committee event.
Last year we saw a great increase in numbers compared to previous so let's keep the momentum going, I'd be happy to stay after the meeting.

It sounds like a good idea as long as it doesn't finish too late as this in turn may put some people off.

Chris, the AGM is scheduled to start at 10.30, so by the time it all winds down it shouldn't be too late.

Yes we did indeed have some lunch first.

Sounds a good idea - 'beer and sandwiches' always got more people to the union meetings at work so a 'do' with the AGM might work for us.
A few runs in might help too. The route down from the Midlands can be boring via the motorway or real interesting - down the 'Foss' via Stow and across country. The run to and from the Xmas natter was the second ;D even with all that spray in the morning for me and Steve.

OK folks let's get honest.
In past years the AGM had been just a quick whizz over the usual subjects by the usual people, becuase it was part of the car club rules that we had to have an AGM.
Last year was different, we had other members turn up, if it was only for beer and sandwiches, the power of a good, well supported forum.
If there is anything you want to say or ask you can do it on here or by PM if it isn't for everyone to read.
But I ask that you consider this a half day out and come and support us, we can have a meal and a drink, have a chat and you are all more than welcome to give your views on your club, we actively try to give the members what they want, to a point of reason, we can't suit all of the people all of the time of course, so if we are going up the wrong track, so to speak, please tell us.
If anybody has an item to raise please let the secretary know, secretary@mgfregister.org, I hope to see as many of you as possible on the day.
We will be there from 10.30, same location as the Xmas Natter, so who's coming ?
