Just to re-iterate an earlier post, Stan Smith at Twin Motor Company in Sutton does brilliant work for silly cheap prices. He's just had MeGan in for MOT,service and cured the irritating squeek (lower ball joint) and as ever, bob on, until....... Some divot dented it in his parking area, looks like kids have kicked it or something. It's the only time he's ever had a problem, and he's already sorted out the repair, and as the sprayers don't have any courtesy cars, he's given up his own MGF for me to drive in the meantime. Poor chap, I honestly thought he reckoned I was going to go mental at him! He's really gone out of his way to ensure I've had no inconvenience. Insurance companies could learn a thing or two........ Hopefully I'll catch up with you all again around september time when I finally get moved in. Haven't had time due to rather insane work commitments, not like it's been the weather for it either

Sorry to hear about that Steve - Sutton is normally a nice quiet place Stan gave you his F - what a true gent Do you know where Stan took the car for a respray? Really random....but I was picking up the 480 earlier this evening from Mark Leigh (up the road in Witcham) and saw a BRG F that was having the right rear quarter panel fixed up - and for some reason it reminded me of yours It was getting a bit dark though, and it was locked up in the paddock, so couldn't be sure..... I wonder how many people would give up their own car in a situation like this? I'm impressed

Yeah that'll be mine then, normally easy to spot with the spoiler and Cup's (which are bent incidentally - you ever tried finding replacements? HOW MUCH!!!!!!). It looked like someone had fallen over and put their hand out to brace their fall against the offside rear quarter panel.
He even paid for dent devils to come out and pop the panel back out until he could get the work done a few days later.
Funnily enough, I've a feeling that the F stan bought (last month, blown engine, R plate in Tarty Blue) came from the guy in Haddenham who was offering recon heads a little earlier in the year.

Do you need to borrow some wheels Steve? I've got some (with boots - tread is not great but tolerable) if you need them. I could even take them up to Stans.
Cheers
Jon

I'm OK cheers mate, they're bent as far as there's about 15 weights on two of the wheels I've been offered a set of the Swedish 7 Spokes, but call me an old fart, I want the cups as they're the lightest of the range next to the TF's superlights. It's just a case of keeping an eye on ebay until a set crop up. You know Stan's MGF doesn't half feel better built than mine......
