Finally got my new wool carpet set in biscuit (well I will have when it's delivered) I've only been waiting a year.
I can now get the interior finished. I had to list the mods for Tim the other day, it came to 58 this year.

Debs, how does the DTA ECU compare with the Emerald chip, i.e. can it do anything the Emerald can't? You may be the first person to put 260+bhp through the PG1 box - might be worth having a spare just in case

The DTA will allow me to run 2 separate maps at the flick of a switch so I can optimise for both 95 RON and 99 RON fuels. It also has full VVC control - I'm not sure if this is up and running on the Emerald yet? The DTA also allows user pre-defined 'Launch Control' as well as 'Full Throttle Gear Shifts' by altering the spark pulse timing/duration The clincher, though, is that the DTA ecu will tie into my Progressive Nos controller and allow a user defined amount of ignition retard as soon as the Nos starts to flow. This will allow me to run a larger shot of Nos since atm I am limited by the MEMS ignition map. I take your point about the PG1 'box. Obviously it's torque rather than power that lunches transmissions, but from the research I have done the consensus from a number of drive train specialists is that it should be able to take 300 bhp. That said I'll probably be sourcing a spare just in case!

My concern would also be with the gearbox, the PG1's used in the turbos often fail especially 1st and 2nd gear and thats with 197bhp and 240Nm of torque.

So if 14.001secs @ 101.08mph Standing Quarter is your current, what's your target..? Quaife do some stronger innards for the gearbox, but the price tag isn't for the faint hearted Much cheaper to regard the OE box as a consumable ;D Are you considering a DIY supercharger application or would you go for a Turbo Technics package?

I want to be in the mid to low 13's by the end of next season, with an ultimate aim of eventually getting into the 12's.
That said I am becoming increasingly occupied with (what is going to be) a rather 'trick' MG Midget to be raced in the MGCC Midget Challenge.
The supercharger option is just something I'm mulling over atm. AFAIK the TT set up was never really that reliable, however a friend is developing a 'charger option for front engine/RWD K Series powered vehicles. If it works well then we may go about fitting the system to the TF.
