Thought this might be of interest to you guys it is part of an email I received from a very reliable source. The location of the speed trap was on the A127, about 200 Meters before the Hullbridge turnoff (near Basildon, in Essex). The road was dark and un-lit by street lamps. It was also lined at this particular point with thick bushes with the odd gap between them. The car being used (and I cant be 100% sure about this because it was so well hidden and dark) was a old shape dark coloured Ford Mondeo. The trap had been meticulously set up. The camera was black and the car was virtually completely hidden with no markings of any kind. Even the camera stand was painted completely black -- these people were very well prepared.

Isnt there some kind of regulations the Police have to follow when carrying out mobile speed camera checks?
I thought the vehicles had to marked as speed checks or something??
