Can anyone throw any light on this,or has it happened to anyone. The Engine Indicator light (Amber)flashed on and off for about 20-30 seconds, car ran ok. I pulled over to check engine bay, water, leaks etc.ok. Checked manual when I got home and it said that if it stays on could be emssions fault picked up by the Engine Management system. It also says that if it flashes and the car does not drive normally contact a dealer. I drove the car for about another 50-60 miles home without any further indication, car ran ok. Ps its on page 52 of the owners Handbook for further info. Any further advice? Mick.

Sorry, Mick, only just picked up on this one.
My light is on most of the time. It goes of if the battery is disconnected and reconnected, but come back on again withion a couple of days. I have had it reset numerous times with no fault showing when connected to the computer. MGOC said not to worry about it the last time they reset it.
Get it checked out by an X-part garage, or trusted independant for your own piece of mind. Once satisfied that there is no fault - don't worry about it.
