Where's everybody gone? Where for the 12th? I'm doing the skidpan at Castle Combe tomorrow. Tip for today - treat your rubber hood seals with vaseline for timely water resistance improvement - they are like new again. I have got stainless steel coolant pipes but sadly not on my car yet.:o|

Tip for today - treat your rubber hood seals with vaseline for timely water resistance improvement - they are like new again. Vaseline is petroleum based and will eventually rot the rubber! Light silicone grease is better.

Er, it was told to me by a garage owner. I wonder if he would like to supply and fit new seals at great expense? I like it anyway and the water just slithers off them. What are you doing on the twelth Bob?

Special build by Longlife Exhausts. I went for the 'mild' sports style. If I had tried the 'medium' or the 'mega' I think my parents would have heard me from Scotland!
Dead chuffed with the result and I need no encouragement to show it off at the B&RS...........!!

Charles I had a warranty issue on my rubber window seals back in MGR dealer days. The guy used silicone grease. This works a treat with a nice tight seal, when the window slides over the rubber with no strain. This should be repeated as necessary... Pete
