Hello. Does anyone have any ideas where i can find a cheap (ish) spare wheel for my Tf160? When I bought it, there just a rusty can of sealant where the spare wheel should live. It doesn't have to be fancy but I need one that fits over the front calipers. I saw a spare alloy at Fest but that was £130 which seemed a bit much just for a spare wheel. (maybe I'm kidding myself). I did look on ebay but could only find sets.

The MGF Centre 01902 453100, Brown & Gammons 01462 490049 do sell individual Trophy wheels, they have the orange ones too I believe (non polished finish, good enough for a spare)
Mike Satur may, give him a call 01709 890555.
Also try Glenn Sprigg of MG Mania 01922 410949 he's usually a good source of stuff like that.
Breakers yards around here tend to sell only complete sets, even if one or more are damaged as recently happened to a TF160 (I managed to get the calipers and discs from it though).

The easy alternative is to go for any 16in. If a rear wheel goes flat, then it fits. If a front wheel goes flat, then fit the spare to the rear and then put the removed wheel on the front. A bit of a pain, then perhaps once every N years is OK. Geoff f.

Tristan I have two genuine MGF/TF steel spare wheels. Unfortunately, I am located in Lincolnshire so is it too far from Surrey to arrange for a purchase to be made?

The steel wheels are 14in so no way will they look at AP calipers. I have some with a view to fit winter tyres but am now looking for some V cheap 15in alloys which will take my existing Astra W tyres. If you are doing the HoE, then I have a spare 80 miles only steel wheel/tyre. Geoff F.

I perfectly agree you want to prevent the whole swapping show.... you don't want to go through all this at the side of the motorway at dark and some showers making it even more fun to do.
Check the ebay seller thezwarehouse, it's a nice chap from a rather large ex-dealer (Premier Automotive Parts) in Romford (Essex). He must have some black TF160 spare wheels that will go nicely over the calipers.
