Rich, you mentioned that for a future pub meeting, you might look at venturing into other parts of the area covered by SMS. I'm not going to be in the country much in October, but November is looking good for me. I know our usual meeting is supposed to be the 2nd Sunday of the month, but in Nov this clashes with the NEC Classic Motor Show. So, I'm guessing others might be going to that.
If it happened on the weekend after, would people be interested in taking a bit of a Sunday run to a pub for food? I could start checking out possible venues (i'll have a beer in each of them!). And how far would people want to come? Oxford, Aylesbury, Buckingham, etc. Answers on a postcard.....

Well I'm perfectly happy with the date so let's make that a solid arrangement... I'll edit the title to reflect this. If it ends up inconvenient for anyone, we can always re-arrange it.
As far as the location is concerned, I'm happy to leave it to you. We've got 1 known member in Aylesbury but he hasn't been in touch for a long time. The majority of the membership is in Northants, 2 or 3 in or very near Milton Keynes and of course you and a couple more in Oxon. Personally I think somewhere in the Oxfordshire countryside would be a perfect run out...
Rich.

Max, you'll have to get up early for this one. It' s not on your doorstep! Limited alcohol intake for you the night before I think! ;D We'll probably have a meeting point for everyone in Northants to drive down together. Sixfields cinema car park is a favourite when we're headed in the Oxford direction. We can pick up anyone south/southwest of us on the way. Once we know where we're going, we'll set a time. Rich.

Dave, if it's because of the meeting place, we can always move it to suit. Perhaps either McDonalds at Towcester, or Travel lodge at Old Stratford? I haven't worked out the 'scenic route' yet... ;D

Rich Don't want to make the whole club change route just to suit us - if you happen to be heading in our direction, that's fine, but please don't put everyone else out just for us. We can chat about it at the next Northampton Toby meeting Cheers Dave & Jenny

UDPATE: Having been to the Lamb and Flag lastnight, they are now expecting us on Sunday 18th November. They will be open at 12:00 although if you arrive a little early, you will only be able to drink real ale, as they won't be able to serve anything else!
As Sundays can be quite busy for the place, they are going to clear the staff car park which is through the gate on the left in the main car park, and have that just for MGs so that we can have all the cars together. They have asked that if people want to eat (a very good and reasonably priced carvery), that we wait until after that first hour, which tends to be quite busy, and then they should be able to seat people more or less in the same area.
Hope that suits everyone, and Rich, not sure what time you want to have people meet you for your convoy over, but you may want to let everyone have a little bit of a lay in!!! I know how it feels to travel the distance on a Sunday morning! ;D
