Hi all, The Heart of England Charity run is taking place on Sunday, 2nd September. Although there's a thread in the announcements section of the forum, I thought I'd start this thread to see who's going from our region. For those driving up on the morning of the run, we could have a convoy up to the starting point if you're interested. For details of the event, click hereTo jump to the main thread, click herePlease add you name to this thread if you're an SMSer taking part... Rich. Hi Rich
Afraid we are going to miss this one as well - we are going to the Greatest Show On Earth that weekend - The Goodwood Revival - not missed it once since it started in 1998 and it has become almost an annual pilgrimage. Dave & Jenny

Hi Rich
I have no idea how this forum lark works but presumably typing in this box will get a message back somehow!
Jill and I would like to say thanks to all of you who we met today at the TOBY Carvery for the warm welcome.
Rich just to confirm that we will meet up with you next Sunday 2nd Sept at 8:15 at Weedon for the Heart of England Run

Oh I see so the name that appears at the side is my login.......... I think I need to change that Rich!
Perhaps I need to change ' Be nice, i'm new' to 'Be nice, I'm old and a bit of a Luddite!

Well done Chas, you've found us!
I'd leave the name. At least I'll know it's you... and I'm afraid I can't change that small comment. It changes as you reach certain levels of postings, but you've got a long way to go yet...
By the way, I also added an avatar for you. Hope you like it.
Back on subject, I've added your name to the list. See you there next week.
Rich.

This one's for Adrian
Unfortunately my TF is a just a standard Stepspeed in BRG with full leather cream upholstery. One unusual thing about it though is that it was originally purchased through Motability and had a left and right hand accelerator pedal conversion. Perhaps if the 'MGF Register' ever have any enquiries from anyone who has need of such a conversion please let me know as I still have the kit. I did fill out the 'On-line form' on the Register a few months ago but I've just tried the RAC registration finder and it doesn't seem to work. The Reg No. is AE 54 VWK
Will you be at the Run on Sunday? If so I look forward to seeing you there.
Chas

Things aren't quite as I planned either! My car need taxing at the end of the month and it's got to have an MoT this week... Whatever happens, we'll still do the run. Might be in Kate's Rover but we'll still be there. Rich.

Stewart,
Will you be driving directly to the start, or did you mean you're coming up to our meeting point?
Rich.

I'm hoping to avoid the 'M' roads and stick to 'A' roads for the convoy over. It's actually a virtual straight line there and I've done the route before. My satnav reckons it'll take us 45 minutes, so we should be at the start in plenty of time and even have a little chat time before, conditions permitting.
Rich.
