Anyone interested in a long weekend down in Cornwall (2 and a bit hours south of Bristol, so not too far!) The idea came to me whilst back home this weekend. Maybe May / June or very early July next year? Want to gauge numbers before taking this any further! Also - how much are people prepared to spend on Dinner Bed n Breakfast a night? What if a 4 star place??? I've somewhere in mind - right by the beach - so it could be a "Run to the Surf" type weekend Fri - Sun night maybe?? Let me know your thoughts!!!

don't want to give the game away just yet! If say it was a 3 night stay then was thinking of : Fri - people arrive to suit them, and use facilities / beach etc etc Sat - road run which would include going far enough down the county to include St Ives on the way back Sun - possibly a free day - beach / pools, recover from the night before (clubs for those that want), surf lessons etc etc etc Mon - coastal road run, whilst still heading towards the Exeter M5 / A303 i.e. heading towards home for most!! Like I said - I've a four star hotel in mind - but need to know how much people happy to spend on DB&B I'm sure we would find a Kellys Ice Cream for you Fi!

Not sure about 3 nights at 4* prices!!!!!
I'm only a humble bus driver.
Would be interested in a lower class hotel - after all, it's the F, the people and the atmosphere thats important - not paying loads for somewhere to sleep.

I reckon I've snagged your game Colin. Are you thinking of Newquay?? I can't possibly comment on what my financial situation will be next year, right now it is horribly dire .... that aside, I am a creature of comfort and would always prefer at least a 4 star hotel, regardless of cost ;D ;D

Your too good for me Fi! Close enough to use the facilites / make the most of the beautiful surroundings, but far enough away from any yobbish reputation that the Newquay area may have! Hence the Hotel in mind!!

It was the 'Run to the Surf' which did it - I've been to the original 'Run to the Sun' down there for the last few years I know most of the swanky hotels down there (obviously!) -- which one were you thinking of?

:)Yep, sound good to me too ~ hope to get out and about on a few runs in 2007 and would like the chance of a weekender in the UK, before trying something in Europe Also, that part of the Country is a bit more familiar than northern runs for me ~ so defo up for it. A late June, early July would be my choice.

Colin - In principle 'Yes' Obviously depends on final dates and costs, but certainly more than interested.

Sounds like a good idea - chalk me (and the missus) up as a provisional yes.
