Howdy, I see that some of you are going down to Brooklands MG Day on April 1st - and doing a convoy with South Mids Sportsters (Click here). Do we want to meet up first and have our own mini convoy going down to the convoy ;D? Cheers Jon

Rich from the South Mids Sportsters reckons we meet at the J13 Coach Park on the M1 at 09:30. i171.photobucket.com/albums/u320/OllieMG/J13-M1GE.jpgIt takes about an hour to get there, so maybe we EAMG F (and TF!, and we outnumber you F people anyways, so REALLY it should be EAMG TF!!) ers should leave from the Guyhirn Little Chef/Shell Sration at 08:30?

Small problem guys. I drove past the 'coach park' today when on the M1 northbound tonight. It looks more like a private lorry park and had a gate! Just checked out an alternative on google maps. If you go north of M1 junction 14 (Milton Keynes) on the A509 by about quarter of a mile, there is a big hotel. I remember it as many years ago the MK MGOC used to meet there. It's got a great car park and we can drive straight out onto the southbouth M1. i171.photobucket.com/albums/u320/OllieMG/93c5b217.jpgWhat do you guys think? Oh, and could you check the list at the top of our thread to make sure all of you who are coming are on the list? Cheers! Rich. Update: The coach-park is at junction 14 off the northbound side towards the city centre and is not really suitable anyway!

Just posted about an alternative idea that you may be interested in. I'm thinking that we could do the convoy in two stages. Our group could meet at our revised venue (M1 J14, Courtyard Hotel) at about 8.45am, then meet you at Toddington Services - Suggested time 9.15am. This would mean that you wouldn't have to get up so early and our newest member, who's going to be in Stanmore, can come up and meet you there. If you think this is getting too complicated, let me know. Just trying to keep everyone happy ;D

Toddington services on the M1 would probably be better for us East Anglian types at, say, 09:30.
That way we can come down the A1 to just south of St Neots, then take the A421 Bedford By-pass and join the M1 at J13.

Could I just ask that all those joining the 'South Mids two-stop convoy' check their names are on our list? We wouldn't want to leave without you! Quick jump to our thread here!Rich. (Posted this on the general Brooklands thread too)

I reckon it will take around an hour and a half to get down to Toddington Services, so we need to leave the Little Chef/Shell Station at Guyhirn around 08:00. Gawds another early start on a Sunday morning!

Hi Guys Unfortunately I can't make tomorrow for the Brooklands run, so don't hang on at Guyhirn. I'm sure I'm missing the first 'hood down' run of the year - but hey ho!!! See you all soon, have fun! David

Hello friends, I've put a big thank you post on our Brooklands thread but thought it would be best to thank you for your support today right here. It was a fantastic day altogether, I'm sure you'll agree. We'll have to do it all again some time. Who's leading this time? ;D Rich.
