Sean, It's about an hour to Swavesay? maybe a little more so shall we say 8.30 at Guyhirn? Give me time to recover from my job interview on Friday. Molly is looking forward to it and with luck I should have the new roll hoops fitted. See you Saturday. Cheers David ;D

Sean When I see you Saturday can you tell me AGAIN how to get a photo on here And I need a decent name for the poor girl, she's called Annie by my daughter but it doesn'y really suit her. Maybe should run a sweepstake? All proceeds going to a EAMGF p**s up! David

I turned up to our first eamgf meet in a Volvo because SLF (my MG) was off the road - and had to convince Sean that I owned an MG - LOL. We all have bad car days. If not hope to see you soon at another meet. Cheers Jon

Is MGOC easy to find I havent been before ? I will be coming up the A14 from Bury St Edmunds. Very easy to get to Nigel, Click here for a map from the A14 to MGOC. Basically take turn off on A14 marked Swavesey (and Boxworth), and you will quickly come to a roundabout. The 1st exit leads to motorway services. You want to follow the roundabout so that you take the exit to the bridge that crosses over the A14 (towards Swavesey). Follow the road all the way to Swavesey (1st village). You go all the way through Swavesey, out the other side, and the MGOC is shortly on your right hand side. Picture of MGOC from road hereYou should find it easily, but give me a call on 07990695723 if you run into trouble. Word of warning - there are a couple of speed cameras between Cambridge and Swavesey - on the A14. Cheers Jon

Just wanted to post my thanks to Jon for organising the visit. Had a great time - and good to learn how the business operates.
A good pub for lunch - thoroughly enjoyed the chat and nice to meet some new folks.
Got some strange looks on the way home - for some reason people were surprised to see an F with the roof down in the rain......being driven by a bloke in a cowboy hat ;D ;D
Thanks for a good day everyone.
PS Adrian - got your messages after cooking breakfast. Not to worry - your breakfast tasted as good as mine ;D ;D

Just to apolagise for the lack of show on saturday, we had a one chance only oppurtunity to go view a house, which we've now offered on (170k mortgage - gulp!). Hope you all had a good time. Steve

Sorry I missed it - been up to my armpits building the race car. It's nearly complete - about another week worth of work.

Better late than never, Would just like to say a big thanks for all the people who turned up on Saturday. I found it a very interesting day, and was certainly amazed by the size of the operation they have. It was interesting to see the parts of the Business that you don't normally see when you walk in the shop. ( I certainly didn't realise they sent those 2 vans to Europe each day.) Did anyone manage to sneak out any parts from the warehouse (exhausts etc. I would have liked that picture, that was signed by Gerry Mcgovern, to hang in my garage - I knew I should have worn a longer coat LOL ). Paul raised some good points - I hope they take them on board. I was pleased that Richard Monk took the time out to show us around, and it would be something I would consider doing again in the future if we got greater numbers interested. Thought the pub lunch was good as well. The chocolate junkyard was definitely the way forward ;D. Good to see Dave keeping up the HCHDC spirit alive - loved the stetson hat - did the hood stay down all the way home? Cheers y'all Jon

Steve Fair play mate - these things take precedence. Did they accept the offer? Take the mortgage - but go for a smaller house - just think what you could spend 170k on - LOL!! Got the sale proceeds from my house last week - it was so tempting to do something with the cheque rather than pay off my debts ;D. Sadly prudence and sound financial management took over LOL. Cheers Jon
