MGOC Headquarters Tour MGOC Swavesey, Cambs, CB24 4QZ Saturday 24 March at 10.00 Click here for the location of the venue Click here for the website of the venue Right then... With Spring ( It's official the Met Office confirmed it this morning) here we thought that it would good to have a bit of a freshen up and the plan is for something a little different this month. We are planning to do a Saturday meet and there is method to the madness......... The idea is to have an early meet up at the MGOC Swavesey, have a look around the shop, etc, and then have a short drive through some twisty country lanes to a pub by the river on the A10 for lunch. I have arranged for a guided tour of the MGOC Headquarters - and there will be free coffee and biscuits ;D The weather will be good - that is a promise - and the hoods will be down ;D. If anyone hasn't been up to the MGOC Swavesey it is probably a good idea to leave the plastic at home . Anyway as per usual, if you can give us an idea of names & numbers it would be apreciated. Cheers Jon ;D Please add your name to the list / thread if interested. ;D

Hi Debs, I can give you a hand to take off the hard top if you want ;D. I was thinking about 11:00 10:00 at Swavesey, stay for about an hour, and then push on to a pub to get there for lunch about 13:00? (making it up as I go along really ) And oh yeah the pub.... was thinking of going to The Lazy Otter. Cheers Jon

Oh yep the date.....LOL Saturday 24th March Pub is indeed in Streatham. I have a lot on at the moment and is was late - That's my excuse and I am sticking to it - LOL!! I will edit the post later on to make it look a bit more professional, but if you need a map to MGOC I have one posted on the events page of the website. The pub is only about 20 miles away, but should we get a nice twisty route in. Cheers Jon

Hope to see you there Steve ;D [Off topic:] Hi all, I'm looking at doing a website for an MG specialist, so I need some images of F's and TF's. If anyone fancies having their MG pictured on a website then drop me an e-mail with the images to: info@modelspace-cad.co.uk Cheers! Steve Oh Steve by the way - you are welcome to use any of the photos of my car (on the eamgf website) for Stan's website. As his is an independent commercial enterprise, I feel it wouldn't be appropriate to give permission to use photos of other peoples car's from the eamgf website. If, however, people say it is OK to use pictures of their car on this thread, please feel free to help yourself. If you need me to email originals, please let me know. [/Off topic] Cheers Jon

I'd like to come on that one as long as you guys don't mind me bringing my 5yr old daughter with me. She's TF mad like her old man (and she appreciates a good Land Rover too!!)

24th sounds OK to me, house is now sold so I actually have some spare time now!
Cheers for the offer of the pics John, you're currently the only only F'er to have offered, Marion Irvine has sent me some cracking pics of her blue TF which I'll be using.
Hope to see Celine there, and David, starting her young eh!?! Looking forward to seeing you all again after missing the last meet.
Incidentally, I've met a guy in Haddenham who owns 3 MG's! For the life of me I can't remember his name but he's going to start offering recon heads after he got qouted nearly four figures for one when he trashed his cambelt. He's got one the EA flyers so he'll probably post soon, he did say he was going drag his wife along to one of the meets.

Hi Steve, How you doing? Got a completion date as yet? I've got to clear my Peterborough house by the 19th, and I am still working on the new house at the moment. I am sure it will all get done in time....... If we are thinking or the same person - which I think we are - it is Skudmonkey - see here. If it is I have sent a PM about the meet. Cheers Jon

Hi everyone,
In case you haven't read the first post in this thread lately, please note that I have changed the meeting time at MGOC to 10:00 in the morning.
I have spoken to the MGOC events organiser and they should be putting on a guided tour, free coffee and biscuits etc. Because the shop can get quite busy on a Saturday, and allowing for the tour, they suggested a 10:00 am start.
Let me know if this is a problem - we can still meet up at 11:00 but a 10:00 am start is preferred.
Oh and to follow up Stevens post... if you have got any photos that he can use, for the website that he is building, please let him know. ;D
Cheers
Jon
