Clicking noise from hand brake.

I have a 2005 (glass rear screen) TF. When I let off the handbrake and drive away within 200 yards or so there is a click which sounds like the hand brake lever sliding off the ratchet. Sometime occurs for a second time later in a journey.. Not evident all the time but it is fairly regular. Any ideas please?

If you lift out the cubby box under the centre armrest, you'll see most of the handbrake mechanism & cables, and chances are you'd see what is causing the noise
