Hi !
I have noticed a gap between the soft top and where it meets the windscreen seals on the far left and right of the windscreen .
Not very descriptive I know but hopefully I'll get a photo of it over the weekend.
Anybody know what adjustments are possible with the soft top to try and close the gap ? Oh, and how.
regards kevin

It looks like the rubber is being pushed outwards by the window not sitting into the seal's "groove"...
Try warming up the rubber (to make in mallable) and forcing the window into the groove - this should "sit" the rubber in the correct place and maybe end up closer once cooled.

Some questions get in my mind. 1. could it be that you have a 1996 MGF with a later hood ? (In that case the interference refers to different shape at that corner)
2. is the other side bent in the same manner direction outside?
some more pics may be useful. Full shot from the hood, i.e.

Thanks for the input. The cars a 1997 MGF , ( only had it since May. It's amazing the things you miss when looking over a car ) but other than the mis fit the hood looks in good condition, so may well have been replaced with the wrong one It is the same both sides. I'll get some more pictures hopefully Thursday. thanks again kevin

Hi ! The other side is not as bad as I thought. Here are some more photos These show the type of roof I guess ?: : This shows some wear on the hood on the passenger side, where it is above the door and just to the right of the window ( i.e. a close up of the photo just above ) : the blue plastic bag helps keep the water out Suggestions on this most welcome too. And here a close up of the drivers side, which seems to be a better seal than the passenger side. Still don't look 'clean' ? What should a good seal look like ? Any ideas what to do ? Only had the car a few months, hopefully not 'get a new hood' regards kevin

Hi, My f leaks and looks exactly like yours where the roof meets the windscreen, have tried to tighten it by adjusting the hex nuts in the roof clamps, that has pulled it tighter but hasn't shut it completely. Going to try and resit the rubbers this weekend and see if that works, in the meantime I have ordered a Hood mate!

Hi ! Can't see plastic bags on the accessories list, perhaps there is a market for them ? Some more pics , is this the problem ? On the better side : On the bad side ( the red lines mark an overlap in the rubbers . There is no overlap present on the better side ) : Could this be it ( in which case any links on how to move them so they don't overlap, ideally in situ ) ? regards kevin

Hi !
Managed to figure out what to do : lossened off a nut which seemed to make the seal easier to move ( guess the nut locks the rubber in place ).
Looks much neater now and less holes.
Now onto see if I can do something about the plastic bag .
