Hi All,
Have but this on MG Enthusiasts too. Where do I get OAT coolant from, other than mail order?
Is there an alternative 'off the shelf'?
Cheers,
Timmeh

AFAIK, Halfords' "Advanced Antifreeze" is OAT, stocked in either concentrated or ready mixed form, and is an ornage colour. It's actually a hybrid OAT formulation which uses Ethylene Glycol, but with OAT-based corrosion inhibitors and some added silicates. Hybrid OAT is less agressive on seals and gaskets than straight OAT anti-freeze and has better cavitation resistance.

OAT can be had from Xpart service centres, some Texaco garages (they are the main producer) and Vauxhall dealers.

Carplan also make one called five star premium red which you should be able to get from most of the small independant car spares shops.

It's all quite confusing with the O.A.T. stuff...
Anyway, you almost get the right stuff if it is marked with code G30
