I had been hoping to discuss a good location to film the passing of the run(Cheesefoot Head?) at 'our' meet today. It seems we neeed no marshals to reserve an area of the car park or to supervise it either. Maybe I shall just walk up and take some piccies of the arrival. See you there!

So, for those of us infrequent visitors to this site and .org, who just realised they hadnt received any south RR emails recently yet the SC run was due soon, what is going on sunday? Low S:N on the .org thread, so what do you get for £15 and a rather early sunday am start?

You could drive to Milford-upon-sea by setting out at unspeakable o'clock for an F in traffic jam, or you could just pop up to the station car park at Alresford around mid day to look at many Fs unable to park together in a busy car park, and a train or two. A short walk away there are a couple of sit down Indian restaurants, a carvery, couple of gastro pubs and a Pizza express. After which there are pleasant riverside walks to aid digestion and a couple of tea shops for any remaining big appetites. Meanwhile steam trains can take you as far as the giddy metropolis of Alton or the no-horse-town of Ropley which now fails to boast even a single pub. Alresford is surprisingly pleasant except that I live here and very much look forward to the F invasion.

A few days left now - for those not booked in - the start is the Hurst Rd car park, Milfrod on Sea - right on the sea front. Aim to be there from 9am and we'll be looking to get away about 10 to 10.30am. We should have a reserved area to park in at Alresford if all goes to plan !!
Group discount on the train ride and free tea/coffee and cake at the finish plus rally plates and route book.
See you in Milford on Sea !

Had a very pleasant afternoon Sunday out to Alresford, haven't been to the station since Father used to take us as kids. Shame I couldn't manage to do the whole run because of having so much else going on, was so hoping to do it, oh well have to wait for another one. I did look at Chris's maps and think he'd done a good route but then I know the area quite well anyway so would of easily been able to cheat . Well done Chris and Helen, I though you had done a great job organising it and I enjoyed seeing the cars turn up and meeting some of the MG crowd again . (Great pic's as well ) ;D
