Nick, Patrick Warner is the director of Sterling Automotive in Eastbourne, long time F owner and a sponsor of MGFest, nice guy too.
I don't know how far that is from you, where are you, it's not under your avatar ?
I can always recommend our own Steve Tyler here in Southend at British Legends (worth the trip) or Ralph Gadsby at Executive motoring services in Rainham, Kent.

Hi Nick and Abbi, hopefully I'll be at the next meet too - would be good to catch up with you two! Re MOT, my TF just flew through hers...just had itcarried out at my local garage in Gillingham (Dorset not Kent!). It appears that she is 110% tickety-boo! LOL! Shame I'm not!!! If you're looking for somewhere in the Portsmouth area (can't recall your exact location!) then Charles or Bob may be of some assistance and they may be able to recommend somewhere.

Nick I use MVM, Aston Road, Waterlooville. Have used them for over 20 years. They have always passed both the MGA and MGF, but then I do service them. I usually sit in the car throughout the test, its so much quicker when we know where all the knobs are... They normally allow you to watch the test being carried out too. You can mention my name (but get ready to duck) I'm always charged below the going rate - not sure if its because I'm a 'regular'. They also play ball with me and not wanting to go in the rain - well they are MGs! Pete
