Duh...''THAT'' email James....! BTW, thanks for the chat today Adrian, was good to talk with you. x
Sorry not been around, you guys. Had to take time out to try to come to terms with some personal stuff.
Re Sunday 27th....as it's a Bank Holiday weekend please could I have a rough idea who would be free for this date? I know that many people may already have plans for other things/family stuff/holidays. If the numbers are really low then we could give it a miss....or be more selective in our choice of venue.
As for a venue, I think we should stay away from coastal areas...! Grockels will be out in force if the weather is good.

Thank you, Alistair. It's been an extremely difficult time for me after the bombshell that hit me. Stayed away as I knew I wasn't much good to anyone like I was...very weepy oh dear!!! But.........now I'm back!!! I'm looking forward to the hugs...I love hugs!!! Any views on location for this one? What pubs were suggested at the Thursday evening meet? Any ideas? I'm thinking that the summer meets should be more adventurous - coastal destinations...and don't forget our idea of a beach BBQ....

If numbers are a little slack for the 27th then me an A would be up for doing something on the 28th? (travelling back from the north on the 27th)... but no worries either way Beach Idea?? Hayling Island.... towards the ferry end there is ample free parking right on the sea front. I have seen people having BBQ's in that location before, not to sure about the legality though?? its shinge beach too ?? Good to see you writing on the boards again Andie.... Nick

Wide range suggested some of which were:
Churchillian 7 Stars B&RS Half Moon Coventry Inn Hobbler? Somewhere in the Forest
Can anybody expand on this?
I seem to remember that the Chuchillian idea was well supported before the summer lemmings are out in force.

I'm messing about in white then, so of limited travel ability; but nonetheless keen if central Hants. Abbinick's idea of a monday excursion has appeal....Perhaps even as far as the fabled 'Dorset' of myth and legend?

Like the idea of an excursion, but would prefer to avoid the Monday as I don't like being in stationary queues of beachcombers and caravans returning from the coast!! I become a grumpy old bast..d - OK grumpier!
However if the consensus is Monday I will put up with it to meet you lot.
PS Charles; 3.25 and 3.5 lb yesterday. Also a 1.5lb which launched like a Polaris missile! Twice!! Lake stockies not wild.

It's looking less and less likely we can fix something up for this date. Like Alistair, if I was going to do any day I'd rather stick to the Sunday - we had planned to do stuff as a family on Monday. After Jake's accident on Saturday morning, we may be out looking for a replacement for his bike!
With it being a bank holiday, it's obviously awkward for rather a lot of people this month...we can always skip a month....
