Sweet FA in the way of snow south of M27. 4 - 6 inches of snow round Winchester/Chandlers Ford but melting fast. Severe weather warning only applies to rest of the country it seems.
Unless there is a serious deterioration in the weather I have decided that a trip to the Pots is in order this evening. Will take ZT as TF nicely tucked up for the bad weather and to avoid large quantities of salt. Carol is in France skiing, so an excuse for another meal out was needed (so far managed 5 out of 6 nights out and a take away the other night! Result!!).
Hope to see plenty of others at The Pots (including Andie and David, I hope)
There you go James, my decision is made and you can now sit back and relax! Wasn't that exciting ;D

Great beers at last nights venue. First pint was finished before it was realised that we had 2 meetings going - 1 in each bar!! Lacking in Burridge style organisation! Good to see everyone - thanks for an enjoyable evening. Farnborough - now there's a project for you Pete!

You weren't sat looking at the handsome guy in the mirror again were you, Alistair? Good to hear you had a good time, shame Andie couldn't make it along, but better for her to rest and recuperate at the moment!

No, that was me for a bit - then the other F turned up and upon exploring we found the non-Fs were all skulking in the snug!

Alistair
I emailed my Farnborough friend (ex-RAF MGB GT V8 owner) this morning, admitting that the idea was probably the beer's.... Not what we want but this was his response at this time:-
"I was thinking of involving cars and yes probably classics as they will tie in with the period displays however I still have to get over the elf and safety rules that state that I cannot use cars unless they are defuelled and have the battery removed!!!!!!!! I can of course display fully fuelled aircraft with all electrics live and, in some cases, cartridge starters. Jobsworths rule OK. I have been asked what we are doing for Hampshire’s carbon footprint over the show, I suggested having all the car parks in Surrey ! That would leave me more space for my aeroplanes however I think they ignored me."
Another idea for a Sunday, for those interested in the history of our aircraft research at Farnborough, is to meet-up around say Farnham way and run in convoy to the Farnborough Air Sciences Trust museum. This is free entry, but donations are appreciated.
Any good?
Pete

Sounds great Pete!
Even though I wasn't on my bike and aleing, the date of the unofficially mice proposed sunday meet this month eludes my recollection. Would it (with official sanction of course) be on the 25th and have we a location to pencil in? Further up the Test valley from the BARS the Seven Stars at Leckford ,now renamed 'The Mayfly', has huge potential not least for the approach routes - very F, especially in summer. Of course a summer sunday lunch is the worst time to see it, but a weekday evening.......
What is a "hard top"?

I may be up to joining the mice on 25th!!! I'm not doing Stoneleigh so as long as I'm completely back on track, an excuse to meet you lovely people will be welcome!
Glad you enjoyed the Pots! Sorry I wasn't there - it really wasn't looking likely, TBH. Still, I can continue to enjoy the fantasy that you guys were all sitting there clutching your pint in shaking hands whilst cowering in a corner, keeping a wary eye on the door in case Scary Andie walked in......!!! LMAO!

Given the choice between a silly am start and a 3 hour drive to Stoneleigh or a short jaunt down the 303 to see you lot, well you can put me down for the 25th too

Eek eek mice, cat's coming! However can we negotiate from where we are going to be scattered in disarray? With my deerstalker and pipe, I can deduce as I suspected, the 25th is the date(must have been the earflaps prevented me hearing on thursday). BARS sounds like the intended venue? Full waitress inventory required in advance(and perhaps more importantly afterwards)?
