Reading through past threads etc I came across an idea from Adrian C....
Who would be interested in a future inter-area get-together...maybe bowling or pub skittles would be a giggle and not terribly expensive to sort out? Herts Wheels...Essex Roadsters...
As other event ideas, I also love the Essex Roadsters idea of a Fish and Chip evening run to the coast...Poole/Bournemouth/Weymouth/or further east.............and what about a visit to a National Trust property or similar (castle/stately home) for a picnic....I know some of us have children to consider so maybe we could persuade one of our OHs to bring along 'extras' in a family vehicle! My son would love to meet Paula's son for a game of footie and I'm sure a few of the guys (and girlies!) would love to join in too! An informal get-together....bring your own picnic.....
Just posting these ideas to get some feedback really....no dates yet until I hear what the SCRR members think to these preliminary and very basic suggestions!
So please add your thoughts to the thread...come on you SCRRs....James....Paula.....anyone else....... ;D

I like the idea of the more "informal" gatherings, I mean we all have MGs but they aren't always the most practicle vehicles and some events call for larger transport vehicles.
I must admit I very nearly mentioned something on here about pinching the idea of the Fish and Chip run when I saw it over on the ER page.
And as for an inter-area event, that would be fantastic. Even a summer get-together and a game of beach cricket or something between a couple of areas would be great fun.

I like those ideas and would like to get to more meets. Any that have nearby camping facilities particularly appeal, and if a campsite were to be within walking distance that would be even better!

Sorry, I can't really help out on the locations front. Anything down here is a bit out of the way for South Coast, and I don't get down to many beaches that way these days what with living by one I second Nigel's idea of somewhere with Camping though, Camping and a BnB for those of us who prefer somwhere a bit more civilised
