It's confirmed chaps!!
The first meeting of the South Coast Fer's will be on the 15th of this month at The Seven Stars on the A272 between Winchester and Petersfield.
We are going to be joined by The SEFer's and hopefully some others venturing from the west country so I'm confident that this will be a day not to be missed!
;D "The Grand Opening" of the South Coast F Register! ;D
The Seven Stars is ideal as it is impossible to miss from the A272, it's within 2 miles from the A3 exit for the chaps traveling down from London and for us who are lucky enough to be coming in from the west, if the weather treats us well, the long windey A272 makes for a great drive.
For the benefit of those that have not been before, The Seven Stars is fantastic. There is a huge gravel car park across the whole front where we will be able to line up all those freshly washed and polished F's/TF's (Except mine probably! ) and then enjoy an excellent lunch in the very clean and well presented surroundings!
In order to make sure we get enough seating we have been asked to arrive by 11.30am latest as they expect to start getting busy shortly after this. But don't let this put you off if you live somewhat further away than I do as I have a plan!!
All I need is some hardcore Hampshire hogs to convoy down with me slightly earlier than everyone else so that we can hog (read that as reserve) the necessary tables. This way the others can arrive for 12.00.
(If it sounds like I'm really trying to sell this, it's because I am! I would love to have this first event a successful and busy one where everyone can meet up, be introduced to each other and talk all things MGF!)
I have given the manager some warning that we are on our way but I still need to have a rough idea of numbers so if you could all possibly add your names somewhere below that would be great!
Lastly, runs in! If people have any suggestions or requests I would be very happy to hear them!
Thanks all, and if you are still reading this then I have successfully managed to not bore you to death thus far and fully expect to see you on the 15th!! Should be good!
