Hi Guy's just joined today, have bought myself an F with a sick engine (usual HGF Drama by the sound of it) I"m now trawling the forums for advice on how to fix it properley and soaking up lots of info. Hopefully there is a NZ arm of the MG club who will offer guidance.

Hi rincewind welcome to the 'club' We were in NZ last year for two months and met and saw several MGF owners - so yes they are around.
PS Where are you in NZ?

Carole, Don't you mind being called an ' F '. Only joking.
Rincewind, There seems to be a very large MG following on both Islands with old and new models so there are plenty of like minded people to have fun with.

There are four MG car clubs in NZ, being Auckland, Wellington, Canterbury and Otago. The MGCC Auckland website is www.mgclub.org.nz and there is a technical section with some info that should help you with specialists. If you are looking for a garage to do the work for you, suggest you try Heritage Mechanical Services in West Auckland. If you want some advice on repairing the MGF give Paul Walbran Motors a call, their numbers are on the website. If you need any more help, let me know I'm happy to point you in the right direction.
