Last sunday we had our annual parts exchange day at Houten in the Netherlands. This show is an event like Stoneleigh in the UK. As a member of the Dutch MGCC we visited this event for the last 6 years now and we are happy to see the increase of input of Longbridge MG's. It is a big event with visitors from The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. about 4.000 MG-ers appeared. We had the pleasure to have Adrian Clifford at our side to join in on this event organised by the three MG Car Clubs in Holland.
More and more the MGF spares are available and a considerable number of MG(T)F's were on display. It is not fair to measure the popularity of the event by counting the number of MG(F)T is the parking lot. The weather was too bad to have anyone comming over in his pride and joy.
We would like to thank Adrian for comming over and appreciate the input of the UK MGF Register by his visit to this event!

Thanks Kasper, but the pleasure of the company of you, Marion and all of the friends I have in Holland and Belgium is well worth it. At the event there were six cars for sale, 3 F's and 3 TF's, I have the details of all of them and the ones in the rain lashed car park too. This one is interesting, it is not on Ad's magnificent list, it is a German import from May 2003, the owner wants €16900 (£12071) for it !! with 38000 km's, cars are more expensive in Europe, believe me. It has a 2005 registration (the letters RL-ZP would indicate this as close to June). It is a TF135 with a light ash interior, however, I asked the owner the colour, he told me it was blue (I can see that) however the paint code gained from looking at the plate under the bonnet shows it to be LQW, which is anthracite and the trim code as PUU, which is black with black leather. It's vin is SARRDWBKN3D618715 A 1996 F, rather the worse for wear was on sale at €5750 (£4100) with 233,000km's on the clock, bargain ?. http://i47.photobucket.com/albums/f199/adrian9450/ResizeofIMGP1694.jpgPictures from the event are here : good-times.webshots.com/slideshow/556903902koVXImYou will also notice a couple of the trucks from the enormous Jan de Rooy Paris - Dakar adventures of the 80's, these were in the DAF Museum in Eindhoven. If Kasper ever invites you to somewhere nice, be warned, wrap up warm, even if it is 30deg.C .They took me to an exhibition hall at -4deg.C to look at ice sculptures (just as well my new F Register fleece done it's job, it was freezing !!) I've got to admit the work was great to see though.

Looking at the data and the paint and trim code it could well be this car is a German write off.
Because cars are fairly expensive in Holland it is feasible to buy a German wreck, take the effort in repairing it and put it on the road in Holland. Should you have two wrecks, it is easy to use one of them as a donor car. (I'm not saying they did with this car but it is possible) Only by good knowledge you are able to trace this by the data we have available, external repairs (respray) can be done so well it is quite difficult to see repairs with the eye.
BTW, very nice pics! I even see that one of our regional members (driving an A and a B) is looking with full interest at an F (the red one)
