As promised now that Sweden and Silverstone are over we can look forward to the next big event that requires a bit of organising, I'm sure you can all find your way to Cardiff for the coast to coast event by using your local group pages. I am producing a meeting points list starting with the bulk at Lakeside Services at 07.15, so please think about it and let me know, use your group pages if you need. I am aware some of you are planning to stay near Dover, a very good idea for those of you travelling some distance. Whatever your plans, as usual, let me know and I will put up a list when I have enough top start with. Bear in mind, I am allowing plenty of time to get to Dover as it is an August weekend and there may be a lot of ferry traffic. There is also a possibility of a group photo shot between us and Norfolk Lines on the harbour in front of one of their new ships, nothing definite yet but they seem keen on the idea, watch this space Ted, I assume your group will meet at Dover, however they are, of course, welcome to join with any of us on the way down. Lastly, those going across on the train are also more than welcome to join as we will travel past the train terminal on the way to Dover.

Hi Luc, we are scheduled in to Dunkerque at 13.00 local time, so by the time we assemble and get to you say 13.45, don't make your day any longer than you need, it is very good of you to meet us, so if you plan on arriving at 14.00 I think that will be good enough.
If we are running late, I have Erik's number, drop me a mail with yours if you wish.
We will meet up with the cars from Calais (the train) there also.

Ian, leaving the train at Coquelles is very slick and quick, the distance to the motorway ( A16/E40) is about 1 mile of dedicated road, remember to go in the direction of Dunkerque (not Boulogne).
I believe it is about 40 kms (25 miles) to Dunkerque so you should make it comfortably, the road is rated at 110kph (70mph)if I remember correctly.
Details of the final meeting point will follow shortly.
Don't worry it will be a breeze.

Adrian, just a quick message to inform you about the trip on Saturday. As you all can be at Exit 3 near Veurne around 1:45PM this is what I suggest: We split up in 3 or 4 groups and start almost immediatlely (at the latest 2PM) for the first part of the trip. There will be a roadbook for everyone, so the ladies has something to do during the trip ;D After 45 minutes we will arrive in Ardooie (nicest place of Belgium) where we can have our Meet & Greet. 2 local barkeepers will open up their business earlier than before just to welcome you all. They promised me the keep the market place free, just for us to let us park our beauties. We will stay their for about 1 hour. Part two of the trip will led us to Erpe-Mere where we will take the highway for the final stage of the trip. We will drive from Ardooie to Erpe-Mere via ......... (you will discover that on the 19th). We are a (kind of) obliged the take the highway for the third of part of the trip, otherwise we will be at the hotel way too late and I don't want you to miss the shower before leaving for the Maanrock Festival. Arrival at the hotel is foreseen around 6PM. Any feedback is welcome.

Thank you Luc, absolute quality as we always get from you and your friends from BE/NL Is the new 3.5km section of road now open from Ardooie to Tielt on the N37 ?, as you say this is wondeful scenery and I look forward to driving it again. I am sure everybody else will too. One more question are you meeting us at the service area, about 7km's beyond Junction 3 ? If I remember there is no meeting point at Junction 3 unless you want us to leave the E40 there and wait somewhere ?
