Our Friends in Switzerland are arranging another of their excellent Meets. This year it is 9 days from 2nd to 10th September in the South Tyrol/Dolomites. Full details of each days activities etc. are on www.mgcc.ch in English (and French and German). I will drive to Basle via Eurotunnel on 1st, collect Ann from Zurich Airport on 2nd to arrive at the Hotel near Bolzano late afternoon ready for the evening Welcome Cocktails at 1900h. Return will be the reverse over 10th/11th. Do we have any other 'F'ers planning or considering this trip ?? Geoff F.

Sounds good but sadly coincides with the Welsh Coast to Coast and is very close to the Natter that Matters - perhaps we could think about going there for the NTM next year !

Exactly what I had in mind, Geoff please drop me a mail, we need to discuss this.
Sorry I can't make it either, just too many events abroad and I want to go to the coast to coast event, as much as I love Switzerland.

Done that and registered. @ Geoff, Marcus said you are the only from the UK currently. Some other international guests are from Holland, Luxemburg, Denmark and Germany

Marcus has 30 cars from 1947 to 2000 from Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Germany (including Dieter) and one from UK if I can get up early on Friday. We arrive Saturday evening at the Hotel Castel Latimar, 15miles SE of Bolzano for 9 days in one of the most beautful areas of Europe. This is what MGs were built for. For Dieter. I am promised your bit from X-Part at Mid-Day Thursday. Geoff F.

Geoff, you are a star !! ;D Thank You ! (It's about a broken wiper linkage on the co-driver side. Happened to me last weekend in the rain. ) I think we will be about 6 MGF/TF between the 30 cars. Have a save journey ! We go down on saturday morning *at once*. Anything I need to take with me, beside of the tools for the wiper repair ?? Weather will be OK www.suedtirol-wetter.com/cgi-bin/wetter/wetter_lesen.pl?uk

I'm impressed Dieter. Good memories about the 2006 MG by the Sea event are recalled by looking at your pics. Always want to return to Italy. Now you know why.

It _was_ gorgeous !! ;D Been down there for the third time now since 2003. But the first time for long 9 days and a kind of lead tours. Lead by locals. It's been up to this both guys from the Hotel Castel Latemar who showed us their home area. www.mgfcar.de/event/2006_MGCC_Tirol/DSCF3914.jpgHans M. the biker, former motocross champion in Italy and his old friend (former mountain racer) They also had big fun together with us 30 MG cars. No major problems with the cars. Only the usual *Alternator or Fuel-Pump breakdown with the MGB's* Though, the daily trips with up to 250km had been almost to much for the old MG TC/TD's and A's or B's. Anyway, didn't care the MGF or the MGC GT or MGB V8. I loved it and will for sure visit again @ the Castel Latemar

Thank you Dieter for your pictures. It was a wonderful time with good MG friends. Many thanks to MGCC Switzerland and Hotel Castel Latimar. Your pictures are far superior to my 150 which I would have posted if BT could give me a Broadband line. Geoff.F
