Anybody fancy a run to Northern France on October 28th/29th ?
Information received from our Belgian friends John and Nikki, you'll meet them at MGF10, is that the MGCF are organising a run translated as " Rally to discover red wine".
It starts with a big breakfast ? at a champagne cellar near Reims at 08.30. From 09.30 the cars leave for a run to a champagne cellar in Bouzy (really !) then on tho Epernay then Dormans then the Reims circuit for a photo shoot, then evening dinner.
On Sunday, after breakfast a surprise visit then lunch on board a ship on the River Marne finishing the event at 15.00
This is not just an F event, older cars are invited.
The event which includes one night hotel, all meals and visits, rally plaque, road book etc costs € 380 for a car and two persons, with one person it is € 230.
Expensive, yes but there it is if you are interested, you will need a grasp of French as the organiser admits his is "rusty".
However, does anybody fancy going over for the event and doing our own hotel and food ?. Leaving Saturday am (early) and returning Sunday night ?
As you may or may not be aware there is considerable work been done recently to the old Reims circuit, so you may like to visit.
Let me know and I will see if this is possible, Dawn and I will go, however our French is awful ( I hope they use Tulip diagrams).
