On mine a 50 shot of NOS has brought the standing 1/4 mile times down from 15.429 seconds and a Terminal of 90.01 mph to 14.001 seconds with a Terminal of 101.08 mph. So yes, it does make the car faster. At Silverstone I was pulling max RPM in top from around halfway along the Hangar Straight, ie in excess of 150 mph.

Nitrous Oxide. It's a 'power adder'. and it's awesome ;D i'm on a similar setup to debs but i can only run a 25 shot yet until i get the progressive controller (to be fitted this month) then i'll be on the 50 shot even on a 25 shot there is a very big noticable difference in power but obviously takes up less nos. i could quite happily live with 25 shot as it is now cos it gives the car the performance of what it should be of todays standards as you say though the car itself is fast enough which is a good thing cos it means you very rarely need nos but it's very handy to have in reserve and if you do the track days then i guess you get to feel an even faster sports car around the track
