OK then.............here we go!!!!!
Having probs telling my comp to talk to my camera at mo - so picks will arrive when 'A' can see 'B' - LOL.
Woke 4:45am Sunday 9th April - 4 1/2 hours sleep - lovely.
Super drive to Brooklands - 'Bonnie' satnav lady told me, in confidence, 2 2/3 hours to eta. Did it, taking it easy, in 2 1/2 hours - take note please Red Leader!!!
Brooklands was very quiet and empty when I arrived - first F in the place.
Cleaned Cassie in the paddock and 20 mins later Emma, Adrian and Tony arrived.
Set up and wrestled with the wind, the Gaz...eeee....booooo and the flags - ;D
Weather was superb, considering wot it's been like a couple of days previous. Turnout was superb as well - far too many F's to count - well, not without taking me shoes and socks off anyways - LOL.
Test hill was fun - Adrian was like a big kid after 3, or was it 4 successful attempts at the hill. I think there's a slim chance he might have stopped grinning by about next Tuesday - that's 1 to cross off his: 'list of things to do before he dies'
Overall, the day was hugely successful - apart from the slightly limp party poppers on the DVD launch -
Cassie got snapped to hopefully appear in several magazines in the coming months - watch this space or see Tim for details.
Kris has hopefully overcome his baldness inferiority complex , Andie, after her 'scenic tour of london' has hopefully recoverd after having to climb test hill - yep, unaided, LOL, and i have finally picked all the thistle out of my backside - Nice!!!!!!
Rain, or rather hailstones, inevitably appeared just as we were trying to wrestle the gaz....eeeeee...bo to the ground, cars were packed, Adrian lost contact with his magnetic Frisbee - later to be found tucked up in Tim's F and we all 'left the building'.
Fabulous day, well I thought so anyways.
Not too sure about the 'bunny burgers', but the ice cream's were scrummy.
Anyone not seem or even bought the MGF10 DVD yet - shame on ya. Superb dvd. Only wish I had Cassie back then and to have participated, but, there's plenty of events yet where the 'PINKSIDE' shall be present.
