Geez that was quick Jay! I accept partial responsibility for the clear indicators - sorry! I'll remove that bit from the site if it's a bit too tempting for others! ;D

Great to see the Phoenix going to a good home Jay, looks great on Cassie (i knew you'd like it! ;D ). For those who haven't noticed, check out the metal plate below Cassie's bumper in the pix above - this is the fabled MGF tow bar! Proof that not only can it be done, but that it IS being done successfully - who says you can't tow with an F? I had heard all about them, read the odd article and seen a few photos, but Jay's F is the first tow bar i'd seen for real, probably no more than 20 fitted to Fs i would guess, real unique item. Good to meet you yesterday Jay.

I wondered what that was, does it actualy serve a purpose without ripping the car in half?

I wondered what that was, does it actualy serve a purpose without ripping the car in half? And why would it rip the car in half then??
Suppose if i tried to tow a 2tonne trailer full of inch2dust it would. But i only tow a small trailer, with half my drum kit in and occasionally a single motorcycle trailer. Its ideal for that, but if you want to be stupid then obviously it wouldnt work. You can also fit a towbar mounted bike rack for the mountain bike - handy for cycling to the toilets at large campsites. So then, do all cars fitted with towbars rip themselves in half???

Thats just manufacturer shpeel anyway. Why would a company make an MGF specific towbar, at a pricely £250, if ya couldn't use it??? Anyways - i use mine all the time and no probs. If you want one I can give you the web site??

Na, I never have anything that I can't fit in the boot anyway. To be honest I don't like towing with any vehicle short of an articulated lorry, they are designed for it, your little old couple in a small family car with a caravan lugging behind aren't exactly doing the car a lot of good
