Not quite sure how he is going to manage that.

Bit of boring history folks:-
The Festival of Transport is organised by the the Thornycroft Society.
Thornycroft were the biggest pre-war suppliers of commercial transport to the UK, all based and built in Basingstoke (including most military vehicles, including the mighty ANTAR) which made Basingstoke a prominent bombing target during WWII.
Both my grandfathers worked there, one as a boiler-maker and the other as a tool designer, so it's something I have always supported/given to as the society gives generously to those surviving employees (neither of which my grandfather's can be included in as they have both passed away).
But without these guys and others - British Legion, SSAFA, RAFA, Wings Appeal, Poppy Appeal - we would all be speaking german.
Serious but necessary.

That's right - there is usually a good display of Thorneycroft vehicles at the show which generally include a Mighty Antar or two - well worth being dwarfed by !
I have tewnty FREE tickets for our paddock now and will look to send them out - there are still some spaces left as you can see.
If anyone can't now making it speak up and anyone else please get your names down now.
List so far amounts to 17 (or 16 if Adrian goes to Essex !)
