I've been lurking around mg-rover.org for quite a while but I've never really gotten involved in the social side, which is a bit pathetic, so now I've: 1. Joined the MGCC 2. Registered my TF 3. Found the right area (hopefully - I'm in Reading) What do I do next?

Hi Justin, welcome to the forum. Firstly if you haven't already, have a look at homepage.ntlworld.com/tim.morris4/SEF.htm . That's the SEF'ers website with all the details of up-coming meets / events. Granted, most meets happen over the summer months so you've missed the boat a bit now, but there's still plenty going on. Also keep checking back to this forum, most meet details surface on here before they make it to the website. Might see you around soon

I can only second what Emma has said!! Keep your eye on this forum - but, as your located quite centrally, look at surrounding area sections as well!! Sandown Park (15th October I think) isn't that far from you! Also Brooklands (we usually meet in April for a great MG day - lots of really old MGs as well) Keep your eye on the European section as well! Kempenrit was great this year, and not expensive either. There could be a great Italy trip as well!! There's just a few food for thought ideas! Do you subscribe to FasTForward - our magazine? Its well worth it!!

Hi Justin, welcome to our forum.
You are situated nicely between the SE and the South Coast where you are so lucky you.
Make sure Tim and Andie (respectively) have your details, they will keep you in touch with what's going on in their areas, as Emma says often before it appears on here.
I can tell you, in the SE we have next, on the 8th an Autumn trail, good fun finding clues on a map somewhere in the area. On the 26th there is another bowling evening at the Spectrum, Guildford. Colin has mentioned Totally MG already.
In November there is the activity day at North Weald on the 3rd, where you can join MG's on track for a day out at the airfield, then on the 12th there is a run around the tarmac at Heathrow then on to somewhere else to complete the day with lunch of course. The next meet at the Fairmile in Cobham is the 21st.
In December there is the F Register Xmas Natter on the 3rd at the Doghouse Pub, in Frilford near Abingdon and the SEF'ers Xmas bash on the 16th.
So you can see we are active through the winter too, not just summer motoring here.
Keep an eye on the adjacent regions as they will be doing their events too.
