I have not used them for servicing yet, but Crawley Down were very good when the retaining pin dropped off the bottom of me gearstick. Also ordered a part from them on Thurs and they got it in the next day. My nearest X-Part dealer said it would take at least 3 days. Crawley Down are not X-Part but there were formerly an MG Rover dealer so I guess they have the knowledge. I'll probably give them a go when it's due for it's next service. Drove all the way to the MGOC garage last time - nice day out but a long way to go for a service!

Used EMS in Kent on the recommendations here and in other forums and unfortunately have been pretty disappointed - back to Tech-Speed next time I feel.

Tim, A chap called Peter X Trident has set up on his own and has his own workshop, I think in Addlestone. He is top notch with MG's and will pick your car up and return it. 07886 909695 Mention my name, (he will still talk to you!) Colin. On your advice I gave Peter a call and have to say he's a top guy. Had my TF serviced and was great to speak to someone who knew so much BUT also took an interest in the cars. He's based in Chobham, Surrey by the way and offers a 10 mile collection if need be.

Thanks Colin - I'm giving Peter a try as well - to see if he can cure one of the perennial F/TF problems - a leaky door/window on my daughter's TF - she's fed up with sitting on a pile of towels when it rains !
