Tim, As a suggestion, and to cut down on my high mileage, how about the natter that matters 2006 to be in the Massif Central from June 28th to July 2nd, not far from Brittany, or to co-incide with Brittany.

Instead of going South, how about going North ? Say Norway ?
Ferry from Newcastle ?

If anyone wants to go North in 2006, I am up with them.

Because the European event of the Year is in the Massif Central.
But I love the Scandinavian countries, so it's fine by me.

With some kind of alternative route for them comming from Europe ? Would be a bit mad to drive up to Newcastle first, isn't it.

You're right Erik, maybe Harwich - Hook or even Hull - Gothenberg but the idea is to drive over there not here, I can drive to Newcastle any day.
Routes at this stage are a long way off, we don't even know where or if we are going.
