DREADNOUGHT SET TO ENTER MG ZS in BTCC 2008
With the 2007 British Touring Car Championship drawing to a close, Dreadnought Racing are currently in negotiations to secure funding to mount an assault on the 2008 Dunlop British Touring Car Championship.
Plans to race the ex Colin Turkington WSR MG ZS EX261, with assistance from West Surrey Racing, are in full swing. The family run Dreadnought team are hoping to be able to confirm their entrance as soon as possible. This is the ultimate dream for the Callander based outfit, who are looking to make their mark on the popular series. Brian Luti, the team principle, had this to say about the plans " To race against the best in saloon car racing with support from our sponsor and Dick Bennets of WSR is a very rare opportunity.I look forward to the challenge"
Paul is a dedicated young driver and is keen to show his driving talent on the biggest UK motorsport arena, with a large fan base already emerging. The MG forums are full of support for the popular Scottish lad, who has proved himself worthy of the chance at BTCC, with many class wins and victories in various championships. Paul said "It has always been a dream of mine to compete in the BTCC. I'm quietly confident that with our sponsor, WSR and the Dreadnought team behind us, we can make an impact in the championship"
