We still have 9 places available at the Beginners Brands Hatch track evening on Tuesday 17th July. Have you taken your MG out on a track yet ? This is an evening totally dedicated to beginners and it really is an experience that shouldn't be missed. No speed cameras, No on-coming traffic, Overtaking on the straights only, always on the left and only by consent, (The driver in front signals right and backs off to allow you to pass safely) Instruction available... What are you waiting for ? Go to www.mgs-on-track.com/events/2...2007-07-17.htmfor more details Stu ;D

Stupid question maybe, but........how many track days can you have done and still be considered a beginner? I've done two, could I still participate in this event?
Thanks in advance, Ian

Hi Ian,
On previous beginner events we've generally said that if someone has done two or less track days AND still feels that they would benefit from being in a beginner event, then we'd accept a booking. Obviously what we don't want is someone who is extremely confident on track and would be so much faster around the circuit than absolute beginners. I hope this makes sense. Do drop me an email at dave@mgs-on-track.com if you would like to chat it through.
Regards,
Dave

Hi Dave,
That makes perfect sense, just couldnt resist trying to get another shot at Brands! Thanks for the quick reply and I thoroughly reccomend these beginners evenings to anyone reading this, you won't spend a better £99.00!
Thanks again, Ian

do you know if they have any beginners days at oulton park? my side of the woods! Sorry - no plans at the moment. I'm afraid that Oulton Park is a surprisingly expensive circuit to hire in the main months of the year. Perhaps one day we'll get there, but it will probably be early or late in the year. You can always see what events are coming along at www.mgs-on-track.com If you register on the website you'll also get a regular e-newsletter keeping you abreast of dates. Beginner's only events are rather few and far between, because it is difficult to make track days work financially - the circuits are so expensive to hire. However, we usually split our normal days into sessions and group drivers by experience more than the model of MG they drive. Consequently, you'd be able to join in a session that probably only contains beginners or relative novices. We also encourage people to come along and spectate to get a feel of what happens and maybe take a passenger lap or two with one of the regulars. There is never any charge for spectators or passengers. Not the answer you were looking for, but I hope it helps.
