I was shocked too, Emma, when I worked out the costing to check we could afford the trip - especially after I realised that Italy was a no-go on the grounds of expense. Working on our last year's costs for fuel etc and adding in other fixed costs... Two nights Hotel Ve = £162 Two meals @£35 = £70 Two meals @£25 = £50 Rally entry = £15 Drinks and additional food = £60 Ferry crossing = £57 AA European cover = £35 Fuel = £100 min Hotel Friday night = £70 Meal Friday night = £50 Spending money = £50 min Unless my calculator is wrong (!!!) I make that a total of £719!!!!! EDITED ACCORDINGLY.....And I STILL can't afford to go..... Enjoy Kempenrit all those who are going! It was huge fun last year for us!

Colin, maybe I have...I thought that a Style room was the price per night!
Even if it is per two nights, I still can't afford it!!!! LOL!

I read it as being the price for the two nights. Real shame you can't make it - we'll catch up elsewhere!!

I think it is for 2 nights, at least I hope it is or I'll be sleeping in the car as I wouldn't be able to afford a Style by myself.

EDITED ACCORDINGLY!!!! And...despite the editing, still way out of my price range during my (so far) very difficult year. Just make sure there are LOADS of piccies to show us when you get back! Especially one of James all sodden and sorry for himself after falling into the canal....because I just KNOW it's going to happen!!!!

I have a plan to get James wet and soggy. All we need do is pay a waitress to jump in the canal and pretend to be drowning. James will jump to the rescue - or we will push him in.

Yikes! Just looked on the ferry site... for those like me who are leaving it this late to book, the 10:00 Norfolk Lines is shown as FULLY BOOKED already! Chock full of Fs! Not to worry, the equivalent P&O to Calais has space, and by my calculations will get us to Veurne at almost the same time - just a bit more petrol in the car So we'll see you at Dover, but in a different queue!
