Its next weekend June 3rd even though its rained solidly the roads here were still packed out, and this afternoon we went to The Hobler for lunch and it was heaving and apparantly had been even worse the rest of the weekend, so we made the right choice in not venturing out this weekend

Glad we stayed at home Sunday. Rained so hard that my pond has over-filled. Even had a guy called Noah turn up offering us a berth on a boat he's built!

*green wellies* I guess these must be the rubbers under the rim? Will have to have a good snoopy when the car returns from Abbi's work later... Any plans afoot on a meeting time for the Mayfly ?

Suggest c11:30 - 12:00 hrs as it is likely to get busy.
Still unsure of our attendance - no3 son coming home for the weekend (wants to borrow the Renault to take back to Cardiff - students!!) so we may be 'required' to be at home or he may bu**er off to friends. He'll probably let us know about 11:30 hours Sunday!!

I aim to arrive about 12 and thin out around 1345 to fool about in white, weather permitting. It is a pub and there are fish and birds to enjoy, what is time...

Looks as if family commitments will preclude our being at the Mayfly. Shame - was looking forward to it.

OK, bad idea. Busy or what? Did anybody else show? I was there later than hoped but no other Fs in the car park (and no room to swing a cat on the riverbank), save for a very nice light blue metallic TF in the staff car park. I hope we may be able to use it again after the summer rush. It would be especially useful for a thursday meet for travellers from the west being much closer than the BARS to the A303. You should have seen the size of those fish Alistair!

Hi guys, how did the impromptu meet go? How many of you turned up? Did you all hide from Charles?! Charles, I like the Mayfly too, nice pub. Would be good to have a few Thursday evening meets there, especially if we can sit outside with the ducks!
