Lovely lunch, great people and the scenery was fantastic. But I got a bit peed off with driving round and round Newquay so I buggered off home.

I too had a great day out. Thanks to Colin for organising the run and the pub and for leading the convoy on its scenic tour of Cornwall. It was nice to meet up with people that had met before and to meet new folk. The pub was nice and the after-lunch scenery was stunning, helped by the sun, no doubt. I shot past Alison as she was turning into a lay-by just as I was about to turn right off the A39. I hope you were alright, and apologise if I missed an opportunity to help. I saw Dave pull in, so reasoned that all would be well - after all, he had seen the sea! I was passed by an MX5 on the way home, but he stopped in a lay-by to put his hood up as the first drops of rain fell. Gave him a toot as I went by - the rain only lasted for a mile or so!
A great day out - it did me good. I hope everyone got home safely.

I can only reiterate what Nigel has said - well done Col! Excellent choice of eatery too ;D I was okay Nigel - just wanted to check with Dave whether we were relying on sat nav or not. Saw a couple of other Fs on the way home (yes we did wave ) Great to catch up with everyone again... and wasn't the weather kind to us!

oooops sorry James! They had changed the road layout since I was there (not that long ago) - I thought 8 or so F's TF's turning down a no left turn was a little tooo risky, and that threw me a little! hope you all enjoyed it - hope you didn't find it tooooo long a day! I made it 390 miles and 12 hours, but 300m of that easy Mway / dual carriageway, leaving a scenic 90 miles or so. I hope the scnery and the food comensated a little! Think the moral of the story is, it needs to be a weekender!!! After 12 hours with the roof down, why does it feel so wrong having a ceiling / roof above me?? great to see you all again!!

Was a good drive though. Was nice making my way home under my own steam too, I could pottle along at my own speed and enjoy the scenery (The A30 really is pretty in places) I also got a little sunburnt on my neck today

ok, I've got a rough cut of the video available: www.zilla774.com/RunToTheSurf.movfor the moment you need Quicktime to view it, if someone wants to stick it on youtube or something, go for it. anyway, this is basically just highlights of us going around Cornwall for the day, hope you all see your cars and enjoy! (I'll tidy the editing up when I have more time, please bare in mind that this only took a few hours to slap together)
