Good grief, can't we go to a 'grand day out' without people picking fault? Well ok, but this is advertised an as MGOC event, but appears to be pandering to MGCC (Register) demands. I'm just curious how certain people might react if the MGOC came along to the MGCC weekend at Silverstone and set up shop? You do know they're two very different clubs........don't you?

You do know they're two very different clubs........don't you? Does all this still go on? I am in both MGCC and MGOC and have friends in each, and both. Yes, the clubs are different. That's how they can run side by side. I spoke to Roche Bentley for quite a while whilst over in Jersey at their rally this year and even he agrees that inter club relations are better than ever. Many, if not most, of the MGOC regions welcome enthusiasts of the marque regardless of which club they are in. MGOC are coming to MGFest. We're not competing tribes! Oxford MGOC are just happy to have any MG enthusiasts join in with their event. It's never been advertised as an MGOC exclusive event. That sort of thing died a long time ago... Now can we get back on track with this thread and concentrate on have a good time this Sunday? Weather permitting! Rich.

ha ha, i think no bad feeling between clubs nowdays, i can also tell you that MGOC Tech Expert will be at MGFEST, Roger Parker from the MGOC will be giving a couple of talks on ROGER PARKER CAR CARE during the day under the hexagonal gazebo with an MGF to demonstrate on.
Talk One will be on Car Care and Talk Two will cover modifications - I'm sure he'll let slip some secrets about the new TF2 as well see you peeps Sat,Dave

Roger may not be able to say too much... with NAC watching over him! Depends what they are happy with people knowing. They are having their own stand at MGFest and bringing along what hopefully will be TFs closer to the production spec.
For the timebeing, let's just concentrate on this Sunday... It's looking to be a great outing.
Rich.

There is always ONE isn't there who just can't enjoy themselves and play nicely with all the others. lol
Anyway - its looking like you can add 5 cars to come down with SteveW from the HoE area for Sunday.
See you all then

Could be tempted to pop down from Lancashire for this, would need an overnighter but thats no problem. Is there a run or just meeting at wildlife park?

There will be a short run you can do in the afternoon if you fancy it. Plenty of cars to look over. It is a good wildlife park too with plenty to see. Just hope the weather is good to us like last year as it will not be so good in poor conditions as there is not much shelter around the park if it is wet. But of course it will be hot and sunny. lol
