Nice MG badge on you ZT-T Stu special mentions to : - Simon & his son Jack who joined us from Yeovil for the first time - see you at Cheddar! Maxalan (Alan) and daughter Hollie who travelled down from Stafford - respect! And those that also travelled a long way such as : - Jan and Flooozy both from the depths of Wales! Keith down from the Midlands - thanks for getting there early, ready to defend our land from any intruders!! Nigel up from Devon Bob Slatter also from Devon (Plymouth) in his red Sunstorm TF. Bob is the Devon & Cornwall Region Secretary!! what a cracker of a day again!! Debs - sorry having been at combe for nearly 11 hours, I was all spectatored out - hope that the race went well for you - sorry I missed it! Castle Combe pass on their thanks for our display - they were impressed and pleased! As was Richard (new MGCC gen manager) as our F Register stand virtually matched the general MGCC stand for numbers! glad that you had woken up by the time Nigel and I returned from the Paddock - we were all ready to turn you over, from you back to your front, just to ensure that you got an all-over tan whilst you made up for your very early start

Nice pic of me braking in to Tower Corner Stux ;D
Sorry guys, they changed the programme so I was in Race 11 and with all the stoppages we didn't start till nearly 6pm.
I'd qualified 34 out of 40. Not good but we have some issues with the Midget rear suspension being too stiff - not good on a bumpy circuit like Combe.
At race start I got a blinder and made up 12 places before the run into Quarry, where I got baulked and lost a couple.
I made up another 2 through Old Paddock into Hammerdown and was doing fine until about lap 4 when, going into Tower, an MGB tried to go down the inside. I shut the door on him (firmly) so going into the Bobbies Chicane, he tried again, even though the door was shut.
Result? He punted me sideways which meant I had a 'Moment' gathering it all together. However, by this time I'd 'fallen off the cam' and had to snatch second to get away.
As a result I got mobbed by a hoard of Metros and with the semi spin I just didn't have the power to catch them in the next 4 laps.
Had a great dice with a couple of MGBs and came home 26.
So at least I made up 8 places from the Start ;D

Good to see you all yesterday ~ another great day out. Will post some photos in the next few days, once I've had chance to reduce them in size. Hopefully see you in Cheddar on Thursday, provided that Jo gets back from London in time.
Nigel
PS: Stu, how do you paste photos into message? I've just tried, but nothing happens!
